Way better than Little Sturgis, and it's ONLY $10 for the entire weekend! The same weekend as Little Sturgis KY and just a few miles down the road is the annual Old Shawneetown Street rally. The brainchild of Mr. Tim York (the same guy that does Hog Rock) you just KNOW it's going to be a great party. It's just a street rally, where for a lousy $10 you can come in and camp out at the large city park located just a few yards away from main street. This town is tiny, main street is less than a thousand feet long from begining to end. And of course right there in the center of it all is the world famous Hog Daddy's Saloon. Open container laws apply, you can buy a beer right there on main street and walk around with it. Or bring your own. A few different bars located here and there along main street, a large out door stage set up right in the center, across from Hog Daddy's Saloon, Vendors rows running off of main street and a few clumps of porta potties pretty well sum it up. They had some good bands and Bag Lady Sue putting on performances all weekend long at the main outdoor stage, and all shows are free! They do have a proscription against nudity on main street, but the cops are pretty cool about it... they just politely ask the ladies to stuff the boobies back in the shirts until they can make it back to the campgrounds or into one of the bars. Or you can head out behind the old gas station on main street where they have the outdoor wet tee shirt contests and the girls oil wrestling shows. Just not on main street. Guess where everybody ends up? Hahahhaha, I bet you don't need three tries to figure that one out. For those of you that have never been Hog Daddy's saloon is very cool and a real biker bar. Two stories high, cheap beer, great food and of course the mechanical bull set up right in the middle of it all. And nudity is not only allowed, it's appreciated! Hell the main decoration in the bar are clothes lines filled with bra's and panties than enebriated patrons have forgoten a few layers of undergarments after a great night of partying hard! And you wonder why I like this party? Hell what's not to like? It's well organised, a lot of fun, tons of different things going on, camping right there just a few yards from main street, free bands, Bag Lady Sue... and all this for a lousy $10 ?!?!??? Are you kidding me? Of course I'm going back next year! And when you get tired of traffic jams and driving around and around the campgrounds at Sturgis KY you should to. Bob rates this party a 8/10!
