World famous for their Saturday girls wrestling in coleslaw competition.

Down to Daytona bike week yet again, it seems like it's one of those spring traditions that you just can't do without. For those of you that have never been bike week is not a single event but rather dozens of different things going on a different locations all throughout the city of Daytona Beach.

I decided to spend the first few days of 2009's bike week at the Cabbage Patch bar, out in Samsula, FL. About 15 miles or so down the road from Main Street, Daytona Beach.

It's a pretty good place to hang out, and about as ''old school'' as you'll find during Bike Week. A little bar, live bands every night, a couple of wet t shirt contests here & there and of course their world famous coleslaw wrestling on Wednesday & Saturday.

Entry to the Cabbage Patch is free, and they've got tent camping right accross the street for only $10 a night. And a couple of adjacent pastures next door where you can park and RV for a bit extra. No hookups, but you can bring your own generator and they do have a hot shower trailer set up in the RV park.

Lots of vendors, selling everything from t shirts to peanuts. But I guess that's pretty well true of any place during daytona bike week.

The Cabbage Patch is a little off the beaten path, but if you like your parties a little more intimate and relaxed it's one of the best spots to just hang out during Bike Week.

Except of course the day of their coleslaw wrestling contests, when the place just slams out with about 10,000 extra people showing up for the afternoon.
